I grew up in Pokhara, Nepal, under Machhapuchhre, the “fish tail” mountain.

A Levels in Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science and Mathematics, with an A* in all four. Valedictorian. 1600 on the SAT.

An app that reads Tibetan inscriptions from a phone photo. I built the backend: splitting stacked letters so OCR can read them.

An open-source app for learning Nepal’s indigenous languages. I built the flashcards, daily quiz and activity cards, and merged 11 pull requests.

The Algorithms and Machine Learning specializations from Stanford, and Harvard’s CS50 AI (twelve projects).

About 12,000 km later: Washington and Lee University. A math and computer science double major, on a full-ride scholarship.

With William & Mary’s Nano & Biomaterials Lab: measuring tiny glass algae shells. 136 shells measured in about 15 seconds.
